Preschool Summer Camp

The Preschool Summer Camp program is a continuation of the school year program with the addition of specialized enrichment activities. Each preschool class uses the HighScope Curriculum which utilizes direct experiences to derive meaning. The children act on their desire to explore, ask and search for answers and questions about people, materials, events and ideas that arouse their curiosity. They also attempt to solve problems and generate new solutions to continue their learning.

Throughout the day, the children will work on their social /communication skills through enrichment activities including Music Therapy, art classes, weekly water play days, soccer and weekly field trips.

Elementary Summer Camp

Elementary Summer Camp program is designed with an academic morning and an Arts enriched afternoon. In the morning academic component, children work on maintaining and improving their reading and math skills through teacher instruction, technological resources, one on one tutoring and therapies.

In the afternoon the children will rotate among art, Music Therapy, dance, physical education, and cooking classes. Additionally, children will have the opportunity to enjoy sports, science club, water play and weekly field trips. The children will also be able to participate in Yoga instruction once a week. Yoga addresses both the physical and emotional areas of children with special needs. It provides them with the opportunity to improve motor skills, develop social skills, and provides sensory integration and self-awareness.
