Children's Resource Education Center

Elementary School

The Girsh Elementary at CRF offers a structured academic program along with therapeutic services for children with developmental delays and related disabilities in grades Kindergarten to 5th grade.

All classrooms are led by a State of Florida certified Special Education teacher and/or Elementary Education teacher and maintain a 5:1 student to teacher ratio. Each child is assessed to determine academic placement and provided with an Individual Education Plan (IEP) to work on their goals and objectives. Additional assessments are conducted throughout the school year to observe academic progress. Alongside the core subjects, the elementary students benefit from weekly Music Therapy, Art, Yoga, and Physical Education conducted by specialists in each area. To prepare students for the future, I-pad and other cutting edge technologies are embedded into the curriculum. Additionally, CRF students participate in weekly social skills groups that address positive social behaviors. Children are given the opportunity of receiving related therapeutic services throughout the school day. This allows for therapists, teachers and parents to collaborate and work together on common goals for the student.

"We believe every child can and will learn in their own unique way."
