Children's Resource Education Center
Resource Program
In the Resource Program, children of elementary age, with varying moderate to severe disabilities, work with four teachers on a one-to-one basis to receive their educational curriculum. These children also have Individual Educational Plans (IEP) developed specifically based on their strengths, weaknesses, academic levels, needs, and accommodations.
This program also includes the use of the Occupational Gym and sensory rooms throughout the week. Therapeutic activities are conducted when using these rooms. Additionally, the teachers consult with Speech, Occupational, Physical and Behavioral Therapists on a daily basis to set goals and discuss strategies to improve the children’s delays. In this program the children get the opportunity to be included in the Music, Art and Physical Education classes with their peers from the elementary program.
"We believe every child can and will learn in their own unique way."
